Getting Started

My Golden Rule for selecting any product to promote is to ALWAYS start with “SimilarWeb”.

Let me show you how!

First off, I start by doing a lot of market research for every product before starting its promotion. This is how I generated my first sale of Herpesyl, within 24 hours of campaign setup.

What I look for on SimilarWeb is its Graphs. I simply enter the product website name in SimilarWeb and get all the website traffic information that I need. If the graph is increasing it means the website is getting a good amount of traffic, which means the product is currently in high demand. This is when it’s a great time to promote through PPC ads. This is how I select the trending offers and what I want to promote.

How I determine a successful campaign

  • High Converting Offers
  • High Converting Landing Page
  • Quality Traffic to my Lander

I created a simple Review Landing Page for Herpesyl on Clickfunnels. Most people tend to overcomplicate their landing pages, but I keep my landing pages super simple. In the end it really converts well. It’s human behavior favours easy and straight to the point pages, so this will definitely work just fine!

My Top Tips for Landing Page Designs:

  • Powerful copy is key to a great landing page
  • ALWAYS list the benefits and solutions (This is very important)
  • Use a compelling CTA
  • Socialproof or testimonials sections

Break and order your Landing Page sections into:

  1. The Headline,
  2. The Offer Copy,
  3. The CTA,
  4. Social proof/ Testimonials.

This format has been key for me, to get the highest converting landing page.

Setting Up and Optimizing Bing Ads

First thing to do is set up your Microsoft ads and launch your campaign. The most important part of any paid ad is to always keep Campaign Optimisation in mind. Poor optimization will lead to an unsuccessful ad campaign and will result in loss of money.

I’m going to share with you step by step how I optimized my campaign to generate a 113.33% ROI (Return On Investment).

Starting with the ad groups, I made changes to fit the demographics of people who would want to get rid of Herpes, and they are:

     1. Genders

I created two Ad Groups With “F-AdG” and “M-AdG” names. Here F & M denotes Genders.

Female & Male.

Here I used the Maxweb SUBID feature:

https://mwexciting.com/XXXX/XXX/X/?&subid=SOMETHING

You can replace SOMETHING with any traffic source identifier of your choice to know where your conversions are coming from.

I put my adgroup name in my SUBID name.

For Malehttps://mwexciting.com/XXXX/XXX/X/?&subid=M-AdG

For Female: https://mwexciting.com/XXXX/XXX/X/?&subid=F-AdG

This is for me to have a better understanding of my targeted gender and which one is converting into sales, or which one isn’t.

I found Female (F-AdG) converts way better than male. So, I optimized the campaign upon the gender data and it became instantly more profitable, by excluding the male gender from my campaign, in this case.

Another pro tip for new affiliates who can’t invest in expensive tracking tools yet. You can still track the gender through this strategy which can be connected with MaxWeb’s Affiliate Link too-  which is great!

While using this strategy with the Ad Groups to track gender data, we also want to make sure we adjust the bid in gender and decrease the bid by 90% for male if we have created our Adgroup to track the female gender.

  • I followed the same steps with M-AdG (Male Gender Ad Group) and decreased the bid by 90% for females.

     2.  Age Ranges

For ages 18 – 24 & 65+ I reduced the CPC bid by 90%, to minimize the ad impressions on that age range, which, according to data and research, is NOT affected by Herpes, compared to people aged 25-64. Therefore, I only targeted the ages of 25-64. And this proved to be a wise decision.

3. Device Targeting

I excluded tablet devices, because in my experience I have hardly got any significant conversion rates through tablets. This does not mean that tablets don’t convert at all, it’s just too low for me to invest in these campaigns.

4. Time (Ad Schedule)

I scheduled the time for 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM Monday to Sunday. Because I didn't want my ads running during the time of night when people would be asleep. This is also beneficial for the ads to get rid of bot clicks during the night.

Results

After setting up my ads, I let it run for a week.

I set a daily Ad budget of $30, with a $3 bid. I set my bid a bit higher as I was doing Brand Bidding. Generally brand bidding always has higher CPC.

The Avg. CPC for the first two days was about $2.30 and increased slightly to $2.70, which was not a bad deal. My daily spend was also between $20 to $25. It never exceeded $30 due tight targeting. I focused only on those demographics and devices which generated the most number of sales.

I also targeted only Exact Match Keywords, which meant a very limited audience size.  I targeted Buyer Intent Keywords and this is why in just 56 clicks, I made 4 conversions.

Here is my keyword list that helped me to generate 113% ROI.

Final Sales Report:

CONCLUSION:

A lot of people say that Microsoft Ads do not convert into sales, that it’s full of bot traffic and that it just costs money for fake clicks. I also had this same thought, originally. However, my outcomes have changed my mind and made me a believer in the power of PPC ads.

Most people say they can ONLY scale their campaigns through Native and Facebook Ads, but it’s not true. If you learn the process of optimization then you can turn any paid campaign into profit.

If you are able to find a winning demographic and gender with Bing Ads for a particular offer then you can easily scale it further using Google Ads.

This is the exact strategy that I've been using for a long time and have been crushing conversions with it. The best part is that you don’t need to do a lot of testing or market research by yourself to find a winning offer if you’re one of MaxWeb’s Affiliates.

Their Support team and Affiliate Managers are awesome and available 24/7. Simply reach out to your Affiliate Manager, who is more than willing to help out with any information you need.
